//Update on proposed changes to *IVF and ICSI

Richmond CCG’s Governing Body was due to discuss the future commissioning policy for IVF and ISCI at its governing body meeting on 23 May. However, as a result of the announcement of the general election on 18 April, we entered a period of purdah which ran until 8 June 2017.

The outcomes of consultation will be discussed at Richmond Clinical Commissioning Group’s governing body meeting on Tuesday 18 July 2017 at 12.30-2.50pm in the Salon, York House, Twickenham. Members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting.

You can view the board papers here. For the discussion on the IVF and ICSI consultation please see attachment D.

We will publish a summary of the outcomes including any decisions taken, on our website, following the meeting.

*In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) is a technique by which eggs are collected from a woman and fertilised with a man’s sperm outside the body.

Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICS) is a variation of IVF in which a single sperm is injected into an egg.
