Amy stepped up to volunteer at two local NHS health events in Richmond and Kingston that were attended by members of the local community. She talked to them about the local NHS services available and how they should see their pharmacist at the first signs of illness.
Amy said: “It was really lovely to be able to get out into the community and talk to people face-to-face about looking after themselves this winter. Cold weather can be seriously bad for our health, especially older people or those with long-term health conditions. Being a winter champion is a great opportunity to promote the services pharmacies can offer and the skills and expertise they have. Pharmacists are highly trained healthcare professionals that can offer a breadth of health and wellbeing advice.”
